2016 habe ich mein Architekturstudium an der Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio, Schweiz unter der Führung von Valentin Bearth abgeschlossen und anschliessend zwei Jahren im Architekturbüro Bearth & Deplazes in Chur gearbeitet. Unter anderem habe ich die Bau- und Projektleitung eines Einfamilienhauses im Engadin geführt. Nach der Fertigstellung dieses Baus und einer Renovation, habe ich 2018 entschieden mich als Architekturfotograf selbstständig zu machen.
Meine relevantesten Werke sind diejenigen für den sardischen Architekten Alberto Ponis, welche im Buch ‘The Inhabited Pathway - The Built Work of Alberto Ponis in Sardinia’ (Parkbooks, 2014) publiziert wurden und anschliessend an der ETH Zürich im November 2018 ausgestellt wurden. In einem langjährigen Dialog und Zusammenarbeit mit der italienischen Architektin Francesca Torzo wurden meine Fotografien unter anderem in Architekturmagazinen publiziert, wie ‘Werk, Bauen und Wohnen’ (September, 2019), ‘The Architectural Review’ (März, 2020), d’Architecture (März, 2020) und ausgestellt an der Architektur Biennale Venedig 2018 (Modellfotografien des Museums Z33 – House for contemporary Art, Hasselt Belgien).
Als Architekt interessiert mich vor allem das Wesentliche eines architektonischen Konzeptes einzufangen. Meine Herausforderung besteht in der Darstellung des Raumes im zweidimensionalen Format unter Berücksichtigung verschiedener Aspekte, wie der Atmosphäre, den architektonischen Details bis hin zum generellen Verständnis der Struktur sowie der Sequenz in welcher die verschiedenen Räume erfahren werden.
Ich arbeite hauptsächlich mit einer analogen Balgenkamera, welche die grösste perspektivische Kontrolle zulässt und benütze 6x9 Mittelformat Film.

In 2016 I received my diploma of architecture at the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio, Switzerland under the supervision of Valentin Bearth in whose office I worked for the following two years. Among other tasks, I was appointed as project leader of a family house in Ardez, Engadine, Switzerland. Upon completion of this work and a renovation, I decided in 2018 to fully devote myself to architectural photography.
My most relevant works are those for the Italian architect Alberto Ponis, published in the volume ‘The Inhabited Pathway - The Built Work of Alberto Ponis in Sardinia’ (Parkbooks, 2014) and subsequently exhibited at ETH Zürich in November 2018. In a long lasting dialogue and collaboration with the architect Francesca Torzo, my works were published in the architectural magazines ‘Werk, Bauen und Wohnen’ (September, 2019), ‘The Architectural Review’ (March, 2020), d’Architecture (March, 2020) and exhibited at the 2018 Architectural Biennale in Venice (photographs of the Museum Z33 – House for contemporary Art, Hasselt Belgium).
With my architectural background I am interested to capture what is essential to the understanding of the architectural concept approaching each project from a unique perspective. My challenge is to represent space in two dimensional format in all its different aspects, such as atmosphere, technical details to the general understanding of the structure and the sequence in which the spaces are experienced.
I mainly work with an analogue technical camera that allows for the greatest perspective control and use 6x9 medium format film.
